History of Hotel Central 1920 - Špindlerův Mlýn
The history of the hotel dates back to the 19th century, when a hunting lodge stood on the site of the current hotel. After the demolition of the gamekeeper's lodge, the Sněžka Hotel was built here, which experienced its greatest glory around 1920. Unfortunately, 6 years later, it completely burned down.
Subsequently, a major reconstruction began and in the 1930s it was opened as the Central Hotel. Specifically, the hotel has carried this name since 1935.
Another historical milestone of the Central Hotel is the approaching end of the Second World War, when they formed the staff of a guerrilla unit. During the communist era, the building was renamed the Pětiletka Convalescent Home.
After the coup d'état 89, the name Central was returned to the hotel.
However, the hotel gradually became more of a hostel, which was unworthy due to its rich and famous history.
Now, after almost 100 years, we are trying to build on the fame of the hotel from the 1920s.
On December 13, 2019, we ceremoniously opened this hotel after a complete renovation as the ""Central 1920"" hotel.

We are honored to have preserved this hotel for generations and to continue the tradition and history.
