The unique building in Vrchlabí, whose author is the well-known architect Petr Hájek, was created next to the existing administrative building of the KRNAP Administration and will expand the offer of educational activities towards the public.

KCEV Krtek has a lecture hall for about 80 people (including 2-5 wheelchair users) equipped with state-of-the-art presentation and recording technology, a small laboratory for 16 students with microscopes and stereos, a small gallery and a library. The heat pump takes care of the heating.

Regular tours for those interested are free of charge every Tuesday from 3 pm to 5 pm. The basic entrance fee for these programs is CZK 30. More information here.
The nearby Vrchlabí chateau and monastery are definitely worth a visit.
