MUSEUM OF KRKONOS CRAFTS IN PONIKLÁ

In the Krkonoše Museum in Poniklá you can see traditional Krkonoše crafts: processing of grain and straw, wiring, production of Christmas decorations from blown beads, processing of flax, production of butter and also an exhibition of lace and prams.

The objects exhibited in the Museum of Giant Mountains Crafts come mainly from Poniklá and its surroundings. At present, there are about 700 exhibits on display. Some things are family, some exhibits were saved from being thrown away or burned, a number of exhibits were purchased, but most of the objects were received by the museum.
The museum welcomed its first visitors on December 12, 1999 with the opening of a Christmas exhibition in a timbered barn. The new part in the extension started operating on July 25, 2004 on the occasion of the 650th anniversary of Poniklá. The private museum in Poniklá of the Pičmans is located in the upper part of the village near the church and the primary school next to the cemetery.

Tours in the museum are every day at 10:00 and 14:00, unless otherwise stated on the official website of the museum HERE.
Other time must be confirmed by phone at least one day in advance. The tour lasts about 60 minutes.
From July 10, 2019, there is an exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the founding of MKŘ in Poniklá entitled "Lace yesterday and today"
