Lysá hora - the dominant symbol of the western Giant Mountains

Webcam Krkonoše - Webcam Lysá hora - východ - 1323 m n.m.

Lysá hora with a height of 1344 m is one of the dominants of the western part of the Giant Mountains

Lysá hora (German Kahleberg) is a peak located in the Giant Mountains of the Czech ridge.

From Rokytnice nad Jizerou, a chairlift goes to the top up to a height of 1310 m, where its upper station is located. The cable car is in operation only in winter.

The Horní Domky Rokytnice ski resort offers with its size, demonstration slopes and facilities it can be compared to the best ski resorts in the Czech Republic. It is popular especially for the great diversity and vastness of downhill runs, which reach a total length of 14.4 km and in some places up to 100 m wide.

With very good visibility, Lysá Hora together with the Krkonoše ridge can be seen from Prague from a distance of 120 km.

Due to the fact that there is no marked tourist path over the very top of the mountain and it is located in the 1st zone of KRNAP, access to it is prohibited.

The top of Lysá hora can therefore be reached in winter by cable car, from the top station of which the cable car is 200 meters to the east. Further to the east of the upper station of the cable car is a winter cross-country trail equipped with bar markings.
