The mountain hut Strzecha Akademicka (formerly: Hampelbaude in German, Hamplova bouda in Czech) stands on the Polish side of the Giant Mountains. It was founded in the first half of the 17th century.

In 1906 it burned down and a new hut was built the same year. In 1912, the hut was extended and this form has remained until today.
The Czech name Hamplova bouda was named after its owner (1758-1863). Today's name was named after the owner of Centrala Akademickiego Zrzeszenia Sportowego, who took over the bouda after World War II.
