EASTER IN THE CRYSTAL VALLEY 2026

You can start the Easter holidays in style – in glassworks, studios, and museums.

On the weekend of March 28 and 29, 2026, the doors of the businesses involved in the Crystal Valley project, which showcases the unique richness of the local glassmaking and jewelry-making tradition, will be open to the public.

During the two-day open house, visitors will be able to watch glassmakers, jewelers, and costume jewelry makers at work, learn about the manufacturing process, and even try their hand at creative activities in some places.

There will be Easter decorations, demonstrations of glass, jewelry, and costume jewelry production, and an accompanying program at participating museums.

Open workshops in the Krkonoše Mountains:

1) RAUTIS, Poniklá 153, Poniklá

Create original yet simple spring decorations for your interior and visit this unique production facility. And if the weather isn't nice, you'll brighten up here! We are honored that the work of us and all Poniklá pearl makers was recognized in 2020 by being added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity as a globally unique skill.

Tour times: 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. - advance booking required at rautis.cz, admission 130 CZK for adults, 80 CZK for children, family admission 340 CZK.

2) Glass studio HANA ŠEBKOVÁ, Bedřichov 127, lower entrance Špindlerův Mlýn

We cordially invite you to visit a small glass workshop, where you can watch a glass artist at work and talk about your love of glass.

You will see the production of hand-wound glass beads and the interesting, original jewelry made from them.

The presentation will include a jewelry gallery and light refreshments.

Admission is free.

3) SKLÁRNA A MINIPIVOVAR NOVOSAD & SYN HARRACHOV, Nový Svět 95, Harrachov

Come and see how luxury drinking glasses are made by hand in the oldest functioning glassworks in Bohemia. 

During the tour of the glassworks, you will visit the smelting hall where glass is melted and produced, the historic grinding shop, and the glass museum.
