UP AND DOWN 2026

SKI ALPINISM DAY FOR EVERYONE

Whether you are a professional racer or just enjoy occasional ski touring, this event offers a day full of fun and sport.

These races take place at the end of the winter season and are suitable for everyone.

 

REGISTRATION: from 7:00 a.m. directly at the start location !!!PLEASE NOTE – you can also register for the race during the day until 2:00 p.m. and head out onto the course!!!

 

COURSE: START and FINISH – Lower station of the Medvědín chairlift

Follow the black ski slope to the first ski run – follow the ski run towards Haldy – follow the ski run to the black ski slope – follow the playground (black ski slope) to the upper station of the cable car – descend as you wish (red, black ...) and again...

The organizer reserves the right to modify the route in case of bad weather conditions.

 

CATEGORIES:

MEN: Competitors with ČHS, UIAGM, and HS licenses (ČP participants) + Those who want to be registered in the competition category.

WOMEN: Competitors with a ČHS, UIAGM license (ČP participants) + Those who want to be registered in the competition category.

MEN VISITORS: Those who just want to try racing, even if only once, but enjoy a day of ski mountaineering with friends.

MEN SPLITBOARD: A newly opened category for splitboard enthusiasts.

PRIZES: The first three in each category will receive prizes.

Other valuable prizes will be awarded to race participants in a raffle.

 

ENTRY FEE:

The entry fee is payable on the day of the race at registration in the amount of CZK 350 or in advance via the online system in the amount of CZK 250.  

The entry fee includes race organization, refreshments, a participant medal, and a raffle for valuable prizes (at least one lap must be completed).

 

PROGRAM:

7:00 a.m. – registration begins

8:30 a.m. – race start

later individual starts possible throughout the day

4:00 p.m. – race finish

4:30 p.m. – announcement of results and raffle for valuable prizes

5:00 p.m. – free entertainment 

 

EQUIPMENT:

Race participants are required to wear a helmet (ski mountaineering, ski, cycling, climbing) during the descent.

The race can be completed on ski mountaineering, telemark, and snowboard equipment (split).

 

OTHER:

Each competitor participates in the race at their own risk. Participants under the age of 18 will be allowed to start with the written consent of their parents.

 

Parking: in the car park directly at the lower station of the Medvědín cable car.
