Are you tired of the endless autumn rain and gray days? Do you long for sunshine, but don't want to crowd onto packed beaches? Forget about expensive plane tickets and set off on an unusual "beach vacation"… to the Krkonoše Mountains.

Špindl in autumn?

You may be thinking: "Špindlerův Mlýn? That's winter, snow, and skiing." But Špindl in autumn is absolutely enchanting. Gone are the summer crowds and heat. Now you can enjoy the mountains in peace and quiet.

The secret of the mountains revealed by the sun: Inversion like in a fairy tale.

Inversions are the true treasure of the Krkonoše Mountains. During inversions, a sea of clouds literally appears on the mountain ridges. Imagine standing on the summit with an endless white sea stretching out below you, the sun shining above and warming your face. It is an experience that will remain etched in your memory forever.

How is this possible? It's simple. Warm air settles above the cooler air in the valley. The mountain peaks are then bathed in sunshine and offer magnificent views above the clouds. As a result, it is usually warmer in the mountains than down in the valley. In autumn, temperatures in the mountains can climb to an incredible 20 °C. It's like a vacation by the sea, only with mountain air.

Off-season? Not anymore. Špindl is alive in the fall!

Are you afraid that there will be nowhere to go for tea and sour soup in Špindl in the fall? That the mountain huts and cottages will be closed? Forget about it. Long gone are the days when mountaineers closed their doors in the fall and hid by the stove. The ridges of the Krkonoše Mountains are accessible and the mountain dwellers welcome you with open arms. And in Špindlerův Mlýn, most restaurants and services are also open, so you definitely don't have to worry about going hungry here.

Before the snow falls... make sure you enjoy the mountains to the fullest.

Of course, even chairlifts need to rest sometimes, so their operation may be limited. But don't worry. You can find all the information you need on the website. You can find out when you can take the chairlifts up the hills without restrictions, when they will be put into hibernation for the fall, and when winter operation will begin, so you can get your ski equipment ready.

Currently, the chairlifts in Špindlerův Mlýn mainly run on weekends. The Medvědín chairlift will be out of service for maintenance from September 29 to October 24. The Innogy line Svatý Petr chairlift will be in operation every day until October 24.

What to do when the weather is not favorable?

Even in Špindlerův Mlýn, it can rain sometimes. But that doesn't mean you have to be bored. A sauna, hot tub, and blueberry dumplings will solve any weather problem. And if not, Špindlerův Mlýn also has a swimming pool, fitness center, squash courts, bowling alley, children's playrooms, cafés, and bars.

And if you do get caught up in the romance of autumn, you can buy waterproof clothing in local shops and stroll around Špindlerův Mlýn even in the autumn drizzle. That has its charm too.

The advantages of autumn?
