FOREST KINGDOM DAM
When traveling to the ZOO, we recommend that you combine this trip with a visit to the Les Království dam, which is located about 7 km in front of the Dvůr Králové ZOO. This unique and romantic place will really enchant you. With its architectural design, the Lesní Království dam is one of the most beautiful in the whole Czech Republic. In 1964 declared a national technical monument.
The dam is located in a beautiful landscape in the middle of forests, is original and is often said to be truly fairytale. At the beginning of the last century, the designers designed it in a romantic spirit, as evidenced by the crown of the dam, which consists of two gates with towers. A small stone castle with a battlemented tower is nothing but a dam house. Swimming in the dam is not possible, as it also serves as a reservoir of drinking water.
