CHANGES IN WINTER TRANSPORT IN ŠPINDL

New traffic signs and access to parking lot P2 at Hromovka.

With the winter season approaching, the city is introducing several changes to ensure smoother traffic flow into the city and greater safety on main roads.

The biggest change is the new entrance to the P2 car park at Hromovka, which is being moved behind the Orlen petrol station, where two new entrances and one exit have been created. The existing entrance on the main road will now only serve as an exit.

What is changing?

The new traffic solution is designed to help handle a larger number of cars without delays.

On the busiest days, it will now be possible to park along the access road if the parking areas are full.

Parking at the cable cars will remain free in the winter of 2025/26.

Other city parking lots are subject to a fee and can also be conveniently paid for via Easy Park.

The changes respond to a long-standing problem area where traffic from Vrchlabí and the city center converged, often causing traffic jams, especially when skiers and tourists arrived at the resort.
