Krkonoše highway - 70 km long ski trail through the entire Giant Mountains
The backbone, 80 km long, Krkonoše main cross-country trail runs from Harrachov to Žacléř.
It is followed by more than 560 km of local ski trails and circuits in the Giant Mountains. Of this, 90 kilometers are racing routes, the others are tourist routes. The race tracks and the main trail are modified every morning, the other routes are usually modified after the snowfall and before the weekend.
The entire 71 kilometers are intended for more physically fit and experienced cross-country skiers. For the less able, it is better to choose only one of the parts of the Krkonoše cross-country main trail.
The beginning of the Krkonoše main trail begins in Harrachov, from where it goes along Mumlava to Krakonoš's breakfast. Here it turns left towards Vosecká bouda, then towards the crossroads U čtyř pánů and from there on Zlatá vrchí to Vrbatova bouda. Here is the highest point of the route at an altitude of 1400 meters. Then the road leads along the road to Horní Mísečky, along the blue ski slope or a scenic path on the slope of Medvědín to Špindlerův Mlýn, where it passes through the town to the Svatý Petr ski area. It then continues through Krásná pláň, Klínové boudy, Chata Na Rozcestí, from there through Dvorská bouda on the slopes of Liščí hora to Lesní bouda and further to the upper station of the Zahrádky ski lift in Pec pod Sněžkou. This is followed by an ascent through Lučiny from Kolínská bouda to Černá hora, then it continues to Velké Pardubické boudy, Modré kameny and Krausovy boudy, from where it leads through Weiss's houses to Horní Maršov. This is followed by the last section of the road to Rýchorská bouda, then along the ridge and the Customs Road to Horní Albeřice, to Lysečinská bouda and from there via Cestník to Pomezní bouda in Malá Úpa.
From Rýchor there is a turnoff to Žacléř.
