MLYNÁŘ'S WALKING CIRCUITS around Špindlerův Mlýn.
there are three undemanding summer walking circuits around Špindlerův Mlýn.
All three routes start at the Miller's statue in front of the Savoy Hotel
Miller's educational trail
The length of the circuit is 1.1 km. The trail is marked in green. Mlynář's educational trail is focused on the history of Špindlerův Mlýn.
This nature trail is designed for families with children. Due to the terrain and the climb to the viewpoint "On the rock" is not suitable for prams. The trail is not maintained in winter.
The circuit starts in front of the Savoy Hotel in the city park next to the statue of the Špindlerův Mlýn. You go upstream on the river Elbe following the green markings. About 300 m after Labužník you will cross the Elbe over a wooden bridge you will also cross the main road. Almost opposite the bridge, you ascend on a forest path to Vyhlídka Na skále. You will be offered a beautiful view of the Elbe. A few meters above the lookout, stop at the basalt columns - the so-called SUN STONES - Stonehenge in Špindlerův Mlýn - an esoteric place with positive energy.
According to legend, a beloved horse of a member of the higher nobility of the then Austro-Hungarian Empire died here during his stay in Špindlerův Mlýn. He had him buried in this place and erected this monument in his memory. This story was supposed to take place around 1918.
According to another source, this interesting group of basalt columns belongs to the natural artifacts imported into the garden of one of the local hotels in the 1920s (probably the Savoy Hotel). Basalt from Kamenický Šenov, araucarities from Nová Paka and other natural products served here (in the spirit of the ideas and interests of the then hotel owner) to create unusual nooks in the wild.
Just a brief history ... It's a strong energy place in everyone.
After recharging energy and relaxation, you continue to the Alexandria apartment building. From the apartment building, continue to the right to the crossroads at the Windsor Hotel and Prague, where you turn slightly left. You return to the center back along the green markings through the city park back to the statue of MLYNÁŘ, where your nature trail ends.
