Lysá hora, with an altitude of 1,344 metres, is one of the dominant features of the western part of the Krkonoše Mountains.
Lysá hora (German: Kahleberg) is a peak located in the Krkonoše Mountains of the Czech Ridge.
From Rokytnice nad Jizerou, a chairlift runs to the summit at an altitude of 1,310 m, where its upper station is located. The chairlift is only in operation during the winter season.
The Horní Domky Rokytnice ski resort can compete with the best ski resorts in the Czech Republic in terms of its size, excellent slopes and facilities. It is particularly popular for the great variety and length of its slopes, which reach a total length of 14.4 km and a width of up to 100 m in places.
When visibility is very good, Lysá Hora and the Krkonoše ridge can be seen from Prague, 120 km away.
As there is no marked hiking trail leading over the summit of the mountain and it is located in Zone I of the KRNAP, access to it is prohibited.
In winter, you can reach the foot of Lysá Hora by cable car, which is 200 metres east of the cable car's top station. Further east of the top station, there is a winter cross-country ski trail marked with poles.
